Nelson Mandela - Our Work Is Freedom

When Mandela spoke in London in 2008, he told everyone the work was not yet done that it was imperative that we all remembered that "Where there is poverty and sickness, including AIDS, where human beings are being oppressed, there is more work to be done. Our work is for freedom for all."

Even after achieving what he did, he was still ready to engage in improving the lot of the downtrodden, the ignored and the disenfranchised. What a man.

Nelson Mandela Returns To His Cell

Description:

Nelson Mandela returns to the very cell on Robben Island where he was incarcerated. A hint of a smile indicates the equanimity with which he met this situation which could have proved an ordeal. Mandela smiles - not only did he triumph over adversity but he led all South Africans to a united democracy. Mandela did this by pulling everyone together.
