Description:
No one is born hating another person because of the color of
his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if
they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more
naturally to the human heart than its opposite.

Welcome and thanks for visiting my photo gallery page, G.C
F. Graphic Fantasies. I'm happy to be here among so many great artists.
I started drawing at a young age, and known for drawing
trees in my grade school classes I now ironically seem to be photographing them
and creating images having fun with camera effects and digital imaging
programs.
I think the photo bug hit me when I shot pictures of my
favorite musician Jimi Hendrix at Hunter College in '68 with a Kodak Brownie
Starflash camera. I was amazed at the images I got.
From then on I was always taking pictures of something or
someone in and out of art school, and then continued on in working at a photo
lab darkroom. Still drawing while waiting on prints to roll out, a manager
noticed & asked me to join the art & photo retouching department in the
lab. That started me on the path to restoring old photos with airbrush and then
doing my own art with my new favorite tool on the side.
Photography took a back seat to retouching for years working
and learning my craft on commercial ads in retouching studios in NYC for
accounts like CBS TV, Columbia Records, TWA, Penthouse, movie posters, TV
guide, Lancome, and other products and accounts.
I worked in numerous retouching studios in NYC for a good
few years, using the old method of a real airbrush, bleach & dyes, pencils
& ink.
I then went out on my own mid 80's answering an ad for
retoucher for magazine covers that had a lot of noted covers at their
publishing company and wound up with 5 or 6 covers monthly. I also started
doing editorial illustrations for them too.
In the 90s Photoshop came along, got a Mac & went
digital, still freelancing on my own, and opened up my web site, Glenn C Feron
~ The Art of Retouching > http://www.glennferon.com in 2005 with some of the
work I did for them and others in my portfolio, and there ya go.
So I'm trying to get back to the missing link photography
and creatively combine the two to make images that dazzle the eye.
I hope my work thrills you as much as I'm thrilled to be
here and show it to you.
If you like my work I'd be happy if you bought a few to hang
on your walls and keep me going to create more works of art for all to enjoy.
I've been delayed at getting more images up but will asap.
