Description:

My tribute to the legend, the father of our nation, Nelson Mandela (1918 - 2013)

Mandela's past is one of much conspiracy and terrorism. Let that be no secret. I do believe though that the course of South Africa had to change to prevent a civil war from happening, just like in the middle east and other countries in conflict. Even though South Africa is in a mess and a lot now is worse in comparison to the previous government, with the kind of suppression and segregation that was happening, it was only asking for civil war, which Mandela diffused. Doing so and without wanting to take revenge on his oppressors by managing to find peace and forgiveness in himself for them after 27 years of imprisonment.

I don't judge him on his ability as a president, since no president is really the one making the decisions for a country. The most important part for me, is the turning point of steering this country away from total war with itself by him being able to find peace, considering all that he went through himself, including the mass suppression of his own people, to prevent inevitable war.

"It always seems impossible until it's done."
